An Aussiedoodle, also known as an aussiepoo, is a cross between a poodle dog and an Australian German shepherd dog.

The shepherd is a herding dog, and this mixed breed can inherit this tendency along with protectiveness.

These hybrid dogs tend to have attractive coat colors including black, gray and black mix, red, red and silver mix, red and cream mix, and a white and tan mix.

Their coats are either straight or wavy, and can be shaggy looking. The coat is usually soft and silky.

The poodle parent will be a toy, miniature or standard so the dogs will range in size from small to larger.

Large dogs will be 20 to 30 inches tall and weigh 25 to 50 pounds.

A miniature mix dog will be 13 to 18 inches in height, and weigh between 15 to 30 pounds.

A toy designer dog will be 12 inches tall and weigh 5 to 15 pounds.

These hybrid dogs are active and need daily exercise including walks. They can excel in agility training and events.

Don’t forget to include play time in your dog’s daily exercise routine as well.

Teach her how to fetch or teach him how to play fetch with a tennis ball.

It’s important to socialize these dogs when they are puppies as they tend to be fearful of strangers and other animals.

Socializing them can get them over their shyness, and help them not to be intimidated by new people, places and situations.

These designer dogs live up to 15 years of age.

Common health problems include eye disease, ear problems, and hip problems.

These loving and active dogs make a nice and cute addition to families.

They will be loyal, loving, and protective of their loving pack members.
